I have a few sparse areas near the tails of my brows and regular pencils always looked too solid on me. With this one, I use a light hand and the little prongs make thin strokes that actually blend into my natural brow hairs. It took me one morning to get the angle right, but now my brows look fuller without looking drawn on.
I was mostly curious about the waterproof claim because my brow makeup usually fades around the ends by afternoon. I wore this through a warm, humid day and was surprised that the shape still looked clean when I got home. I also like that I can layer the color instead of getting one heavy line.
The biggest difference for me is the finish. A normal brow pencil can make the front of my brows look blocky, but the 4-prong tip gives a much softer effect. I start with tiny upward strokes and add more only where I need them. The result looks more like brow hairs than makeup.
There is a small learning curve, but holding the pencil at an angle and using short strokes made a huge difference. I can define the arch and fill little gaps without overdoing it. The tip feels controlled, and I can make one brow a little fuller without having to redo the whole thing.
My brows are naturally pretty full in the front but thin out in a couple of spots. This is perfect for filling just those areas because the color builds gradually. I can keep the front soft and add more definition toward the tail. It has made my morning brow routine much faster.
I've had brow markers dry out quickly before, so I make sure to press the cap on firmly after using this one. So far the tip has stayed consistent and the strokes are still fine instead of patchy. I also appreciate that it doesn't tug on my skin when I'm filling in my brows.
The wear is really good and it did not smudge around my brows during the day. The color looked a little stronger than I expected the first time, so I learned to use less pressure and build it slowly. Once I did that, the finish looked much more natural.
I wore this under my usual makeup and then went to the gym after work. I expected the tails to disappear like they usually do, but they were still defined afterward. I like that the strokes look separate and feathery instead of one solid stripe.
